Your smartphone just needs a cellular signal or Wi-Fi. These connections, made possible with a Directed SmartStart service plan, enable you to find and control your vehicle, check its status, and receive alerts.

Hardware must be installed

Professional Hardware Installation
Directed hardware must be professionally installed into your vehicle to work with the Directed SmartStart app. A remote start or security system is required do vehicle control (start, lock, unlock) and check vehicle status. Subscription to a service plan is required
